Top of the lake

This Taupo showhome is Design Builders’ modern take on the classic New Zealand country house style. The expertly designed floor plan makes the most of the spectacular views across the lake and beyond to Mt Tauhara. Carefully positioned to maximise the sunlight, the covered outdoor areas, on the east and north, extend the living space into the outdoors. There’s a sperate guest or children’s wing, away from the master suite. All the bathrooms are designed for easy use with ensuite access for guests. Weatherboard cladding and stone enhance the luxury lakeside lodge feel.

Located a few short putts from a gold course, Design Builders’ latest Bay of Plenty showhome makes full use of its space and location. Four bedrooms connect to a central open plan living area. The beautiful master suite is separated from the bedroom wing to ensure plenty of privacy. The kitchen and dining area flow into a covered outdoor entertaining area, and the clever design makes it all feel wonderfully seamless.
