While Design Builders BOP have built a strong reputation for new builds, just occasionally a client is more interested in refreshing their much-loved existing home. Sam Perrin and his expert team were asked to add an extension and carry out some renovations to the house, which is nestled in a New Zealand rural setting and surrounded by beautiful gardens. This Auckland showhome is sited and designed to maximise expansive northern views from the Hauraki Gulf to the sky tower. Featuring thermally modified pine and Mansion brick cladding accentuated with cedar fascia and copper entry feature, there’s real attention to detail and quality materials throughout.
Open spaces and glazing offer multiple views and sun. There are raking ceilings in the kitchen. The living area flows through a pillarless corner to a louvred-covered outdoor entertaining area.
