Design Builders through to the Nationals, again…

Design Builders Hawke’s Bay have just been awarded 3 times the Gold Reserve Award in the Registered Master Builders 2010 House of the Year, in association with PlaceMakers.

Being awarded a Gold Reserve Award in the Registered Master Builders 2010 House of the Year means Design Builders Hawke’s Bay have qualified to go through to the National Awards.  The National Awards are being held on Saturday 27 November in Auckland.

Gold Reserve AwardDesign Builders Hawke’s Bay is awarded a Gold Reserve Award in the following categories:

  • New homes $350-$450k Gold and Category winner
  • New homes $450-$600k Gold and Category winner
  • Sustainable homes under $500k Gold and Category winner

Design Builders has an enviable success rate at the Master Builders House of The Year competitions, having been awarded Gold awards in both regional and national competitions.

Excellence has been proven in all categories, including energy efficient homes, superior bathroom design and heart of the home kitchens.

The House of the Year awards are held annually with entries from companies both large and small, throughout New Zealand.

This broad base of competition ensures building standards are compared on an equal basis, and it is a significant achievement to be be judged and recognised consistantly over the last 16 years.

2010 proved to be no different than previous years: Design Builders Hawke’s Bay won the following Awards:

  • New homes $350-$450k Gold and Category winner
  • New homes $450-$600k Gold and Category winner
  • Sustainable homes under $500k Gold and Category winner
  • James Hardie Show Home Award-Silver
  • Pink Batts Ultra Energy Efficiency Award

What does Gold/Silver/Bronze mean?

Gold Awards are awarded to builders whose entries are judged to be at least 80% higher than industry standard.

Silver Awards are awarded to builders whose entries are judged to be at least 65% higher than industry standard.

Bronze Awards are awarded to builders whose entries are judged to be at least 50% higher than industry standard.
